Why is merino wool better than synthetic wash mitts?

Merino wool is naturally softer and more gentle on paintwork than synthetic materials. Its superior absorbency holds more water and soap, providing better lubrication to prevent scratches. Natural wool fibres are also more durable and eco-friendly than synthetic alternatives.

Will this scratch my car's paint?

No! Merino wool is one of the safest materials for car washing. The ultra-soft natural fibres are incredibly gentle and won't cause swirl marks or scratches when used properly with adequate lubrication and the two-bucket wash method.

How do I care for my merino wool wash mitt?

After each use, rinse the mitt thoroughly in clean water to remove all dirt and soap. Gently squeeze out excess water (don't wring) and allow to air dry naturally. Hand wash occasionally with mild soap if needed. Never use fabric softener or put in the dryer.

Can I use this with any car shampoo?

Yes! Our merino wool wash mitt works with all car shampoos. For best results and to maintain the mitt's natural properties, we recommend using it with our plant-based ECO Car Shampoo.

How long will this wash mitt last?

With proper care, a quality merino wool wash mitt can last for years. The natural wool fibres are incredibly resilient and actually become softer with use. Replace the mitt when you notice significant thinning or if fibres start to break down.

Is merino wool eco-friendly?

Absolutely! Merino wool is a renewable, biodegradable natural material. Unlike synthetic mitts made from petroleum-based materials, wool breaks down naturally and has a much lower environmental impact.

Will the mitt shed fibres on my car?

High-quality merino wool mitts like ours are designed to minimize shedding. You may notice a few loose fibres during the first few uses, but this is normal and will stop quickly. Any fibres that do come loose rinse away easily.

Can I machine wash this mitt?

We don't recommend machine washing as it can damage the natural wool fibres and reduce the mitt's lifespan. Hand washing and air drying will keep your mitt in optimal condition for years.

Frequently asked question

Use this text to answer questions in as much detail as possible for your customers.

Does this work on all paint types?

Yes! Merino wool is safe for all automotive paint finishes including clear coat, single-stage paint, matte finishes, wraps, and PPF (paint protection film). It's gentle enough for the most delicate surfaces.

How does this compare to microfibre wash mitts?

While microfibre mitts are good, merino wool offers superior softness, absorbency, and durability. Wool holds more water for better lubrication, is gentler on paint, and lasts significantly longer. It's the premium choice for discerning car enthusiasts.

What size is the mitt?

Our merino wool wash mitt is designed to fit most hand sizes comfortably. The natural elasticity of wool allows it to stretch and conform to your hand for a secure, comfortable fit during washing.
